Welcome

Ubiquitous Computing becomes feasible in an environment where the users are always and everywhere surrounded by an environment that is able to determine the location and plans of the user. With the emergence of next generation networks and an increase of devices supporting these networks, everyone has almost permanent access to his/her preferred online services. To realize ubiquitous computing, we actively work on challenging research areas including

  • Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs),
  • Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs),
  • Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs),
  • Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs), and
  • Ubiquitous Computing Platform
in emphasis of design, simulation. and implementation of medium access control and network layer protocols.

  Announcement
   Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) Needed

Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) Needed: to work on distributed medium access control (MAC) and mesh routing for wireless personal area networks and wireless sensor networks. The research will be conducted within the framework of a project focused on simulation of developed protocols. Computer programming experience with C++ in UNIX/Linux environment is a must. Simulation experience with ns-2 is a plus. The GRA will receive tuition waiver, a stipend, and conference travel allowance. International applicant is also welcome.
